Darts Supplies
The game of darts is a fun and interactive leisure sport that can be enjoyed out at your favorite pub or right at home. With the exception of very young children, most anyone can play and it doesn’t take a big investment to get started. Actually, it’s free if you want to use the darts offered at the pub to get started! However, once you get familiar with the game and the darts, you’ll most likely want to get a set of your own. A Dart is made up of 4 sections: the tip, the barrel, the shaft and the flight. Generally, darts are made from brass, which is a good dart to get started with and are less expensive, or Tungsten Steel darts which range from $25 to $100. They also range in percentage of steel, the most common being 80%, 85% and 90% Tungsten Steel. The tip is made of steel or plastic but steel tip darts are most common. The shaft is available in extra short all the way to extra long lengths and is usually made of plastic, steel or aluminum. Flights too, come in many shapes, sizes and materials.
If you’re getting started at home, you will need a dart board. Generally they will range in price from $25 to $150. This will depend on the materials used and the way the marking wires are attached.
